Summer Update!

Rockin & Rollin!!!!!!

Mom even got to write on the bus!

Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!

Max with Nana & Maddie on last day of Jr. Golf!

Ok..wanted to update on some of our summer highlights besides the MOVE!!! We of course all went to KC the weekend of June 20th to our friends wedding. Joe and I also celebrated our 22nd anniversary! Oh Yeah! The end of June we took our finals steps out of our 1st home and waited 5 weeks to take steps into what today would be our NEW HOME. (I know I said no house talk!) It was very bittersweet leaving the house and our neighbors. We stayed with my mom for what was supposed to be 3 weeks and ended up being 5 weeks. We all had a good time and everyone still talking so "VICTORY!" July was comsumed with Max doing JR. Golf every Monday, conditioning at NW for basketball every morning and usually swimming, mowing or just being a bum the rest of the time. He did go to Church camp the end of July to which my mother thought he might come back a priest! Oh...I don't think (just from the conversations that I have heard) they did too many things that would probably be thought of in that way! Alot of pranks and fun was had but hopefully deep down somewhere he learned something also! I know he had a blast and is planning on heading back next year. I know that I sure missed him...Maddie...maybe not so much! Maddie was pretty much a social butterfly this summer. She was ALWAYS playing with someone. My mother would say....like mother like daughter! Well, what fun it is to play alone? She also mastered this swimming thing. She did take swim lessons and improved SO much. She was going off the diving board by the end of July (or before) and swimming her little hear out! She loves it! While Max was at church camp Joe, my mom and I went to KC to look for furniture or that is what Maddie thought. We suprised her with Jonas Brothers concert tickets. She was to say the least suprised. We pulled up in front of the Sprint Center and saw their bus and her eyes got real big!!! It was so much fun to see her rockin out at the concert as you can see! Before the concert we got to write on the Jonas Bros. bus...as you can see we both wrote on it! After all the "incidients" with the house after we closed we finally spent our first night together in the house August 6th. As of today we have all the boxes GONE, shelves ready to be hung in the garage & pictures on the wall! Shelly and Brandon's wedding is fast approaching and many things need completed but we will make...don't we always!

Yes...it's an update!

I know 2 months since a post. I have probably lost those 2 people who might of been following my blog but it's a new day and going to try and do better. Many many things have happened since the wedding post. We did close on our house the 24th of July. Our first night staying there was the 6th of August! I know. The short version...the day before we closed Star Lumber called me and said they needed to strip the kitchen floor and put the last coat on and we needed to stay off them for 7 days!!! Whatever! At 5 pm on the DAY we closed we went out and the painters had "touched" up the paint around the ceiling in the WHOLE house with the wrong color! So...we moved all our stuff into the garage and unpacked the kitchen and pretty much stopped! Well we got the floors done and the whole house repainted. We then proceeded to buy furniture and as of today are all moved in...NOT settled but moved in! I cannot believe that we started this venture the 30th of May (the day we put our house on the market) and as of today we are almost there! What a wild summer...more on that later...but it was fun as we bunked with my mom for 5 weeks..yes 2 weeks longer but with the above mentioned you can understand why! We had so much fun living there and think she might of enjoyed having us there. I am sure she didn't enjoy the kids leaving the TV's on and their drinking glasses on the end tables! A big shout out to Mom..THANK YOU....WE LOVE YOU!!! Here is a picture of the front of our house just after the sod was laid. BTW was very thankful when it was laid because I had had it with Oscar and his little muddy feet! If you are ever in the neighborhood make sure you stop in. Things are not quite done but we are getting there!
